the beaches in this warm, vibrant, fascinating and highly cultural
resort-city at the heart of the French Riviera. Nice offers a thousand
delights and surprises for everyone who has the opportunity to get
to know it and the convenient locations of each of our apartments
in Nice ensure that you will be able to experience and enjoy all that
Nice has to offer. Everything in Nice that you could possibly want,
need or desire is easily accessible from each of our Nice apartments.
Everyone should see the world-famous Promenade des Anglais, the sparkling
Bay of Angels and the unbelievably blue Mediterranean Sea here; the
amazing Negresco (Wedding Cake) Hotel – the most photographed
building in Nice - and the grandeur of the Russian Church and all
the wonderful ‘belle epoque’ and art-deco architecture.
Stroll through the colourful and fragrant Flower Market (Cours Saleya)
- a true delight for the senses - and which becomes a massive, bustling
antiques market full of treasures and bargains every Monday - up to
the peaceful and utterly relaxing Chateau Hill park overlooking the
stunning vista of the Bay of Angels and the exquisitely blue Med.
Then take in the enthralling Antiques Quarter and the old Sardinian
neighbourhoods around the port. At the marina marvel at all the billionaires’
splendid yachts and sumptuous private motor cruisers moored alongside
the quay, and then take in the breath-taking panorama from Mont Boron
- another great photo opportunity !
From the port you can take the big ferry to Corsica or a boat trip
across the Bay of Angels to Cannes and on to St Tropez for lunch -
the only chic way to arrive in St Tropez, and in any case, going by
road takes hours !
The narrow, picturesque and fascinating streets, the old churches
and ancient buildings of the Old Town (Vieux Nice), and the trendy
boutiques and specialist shops in the town's pedestrian areas are
not to be missed. The beautiful Place Massena with its impressive
fountains, the classic 18th century Place Garibaldi and all the other
ornamental garden squares are a delight.
If you love to laze on the beach there are more than a dozen to choose
from and several have the unabashed luxury of waiter service and exotic
restaurants at the water’s edge. For the more active, every
water-sport is available.
If it’s the nightlife, clubs and casinos you’re after
there are plenty of those, too.
Nice must have more than a thousand enticing pavement cafes, restaurants,
brasseries, bars and bistros each with its very own unique atmosphere,
ambiance and gastronomic treats and you will certainly have great
fun in discovering your own favourites! In each of our Nice apartments
you will find a list of our own recommendations - and most of them
are irresistibly inexpensive.
The astonishing views in all directions from the ancient forts at
Mont Boron and Mont Alban of Nice, Villefranche and Cap Ferrat and
the Mediterranean are absolutely unforgettable. They must be seen
at least once in everyone’s lifetime. Again remember to bring
your camera.
Nice is second only to Paris in the whole of France for the impressive
number and variety of its elegant museums, galleries and exhibitions.
It has a wonderful Opera House, similar to La Scala, several concert
halls and countless different attractions to suit every possible taste
and interest that would take months and months to fully explore. And
then just two miles along the Riviera, couple this with the old town
and beautiful bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer and the spectacular peninsular
of Cap Ferrat, and you have everything your heart could desire. These
are without doubt our three favourite places along the whole of the
French Riviera (and in the world) and they are all next to each other
!
All 9 of our apartments in Nice are in the perfect location from which
to visit all of the French Riviera by bus, car or train. In one direction
just a few miles along the stunning Cote d’Azur you’ll
find Beaulieu, Monaco, Monte Carlo and Menton and in the other direction
to the west, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins and Cannes. Inland is Grasse,
the famous perfume-capital of the world, and countless enchanting
hill-top ‘perched’ villages to explore. There are many
ski resorts within an hour’s drive of Nice.
Every day of the year there are flights from all over the UK, and
other parts of the world, direct to Nice. By taxi, hire car, private
car or bus, all of our Nice apartments are conveniently within about
ten minutes of Nice Airport. Also all of our apartments in Nice are
within a short walk or bus or taxi ride from the TGV main-line Nice
railway station.
The glorious climate throughout the whole year is exactly what you
would expect on the warm and sunny Cote d’Azur. Testament to
this is the fact that since 1873 Nice has been celebrating its joyful
and exuberant Parade and Battle of the Flowers and dazzlingly splendid
Mardi Gras Carnival processions which go on for more than 2 weeks
every year in February! All the carnival routes are close to our Nice

Even at Christmas time and New Year you will have beautiful sun-bathing
weather and swimming in the Med is not unusual. Again you will want

If you are planning to go to the incredibly exciting Monaco Grand
Prix – the greatest spectacle in the Grand Prix calendar, or
see all the international stars who gather for the glittering Cannes

We have viewed literally hundreds of apartments in Nice over the last
seven years. When we finally do discover something special, which
meets our own high expectations - and this is very important - we
then take the time to ensure that we provide our visitors with elegant,
comprehensively-equipped and properly and thoughtfully furnished apartments.
Unfortunately, as so many visitors have found to their disappointment,
you can easily find sparsely equipped, badly positioned, poorly managed
and cheaply furnished apartments in Nice.
